ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The Department of Mathematics has its origin in 2017, during the period the college was affiliated to the Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar in Telangana, under the TTWRDC society. B.Sc. Degree Course with Mathematics,
Physics ,Chemistry and Computer application as combination was started in 2017. At present the Department is offering the two UG courses.

The department caters to B.Sc.(MPCs,MPC) Mathematics and is continuously upgrading itself according to the changing curriculum and needs of the time of Annual to Semester to CBCS systems.  Despite limitations of resources, the collective efforts of students, lab staff and teachers have delivered wonderful results with continual increase in the number of students scoring 90% and above in papers.

Bringing awareness among the students about the fundamental principles of Mathematics and realize the wide applications of Mathematics in various fields.

• To Explore the students in all dimensions of Life and To appreciate the value of  Mathematics
• To develop skills in computation and problem solving
• To create interest in research in multidisciplinary projects.

• Develop Mathematical curiosity and use inductive and deductive reasoning when solving problems.
• Become confident in using Mathematics to analyse and solve problems in college and in real life situation.
• Develop the knowledge skills and attitude necessary to pursue further studies in mathematics.
• Appreciate the usefulness, power and beauty of mathematics.
• Develop abstract, logical and critical thinking.
• Understand and be able to use of the language, symbols, and notation of mathematics.
• Develop a critical appreciation of the use of information and communication technology in mathematics.
• To choose and use ICT tools.
• Use different forms of mathematical representation (formulae, diagrams, tables, charts, graphs and models).
• To enhance communication of their mathematical ideas in database and drawing and word processing software.
